Fitness Meets Wellness invites you to feel great in 2008. All programs and classes are designed to be fun, empowering, and rewarding. We offer personal training, small group classes and, new in 2008, group personal training for 2-4 people. Also, for inspiration and motivation, check out our new “Living a Better Life” seminar series.

Every program provides the opportunty to learn proper techniques of fitness under the supervision of experienced personal trainer and fitness consultant, Sue Mackenzie.

PERSONAL TRAINING AND SMALL GROUP SESSIONS

Personalized training and instruction meet your individual fitness needs. Flexible times are available to fit your schedule. Work at your own pace and level.

 
TONE and RELAX: Strength Training + Yoga--for all fitness levels
Free Introductory Class on June 4, 2008

Introducing a new class format: Tone and strengthen your upper and lower body for summer, plus gain flexibility and energy from yoga. The first half of this 75-minute class uses a variety of resistance equipment, including weights, bands, and stability balls, to strengthen and tone your entire body for a complete workout. The second half is a hatha-inspired yoga session with a certified yoga instructor who will modify movements to fit your level of expertise. This class is appropriate for beginners and also those who are more experienced. Refresh your mind and body--feel great in 2008!

6 WEEKS TO WELLNESS

This program is for people of all fitness levels and uses a wide variety of equipment and class formats. Work your way to a stronger, healthier you, using weight machines, resistance tools, free weights, weighted balls and bars, stability balls, and bands. This class will educate you while incorporating all components of fitness: strength training, cardiovascular work, endurance, balance, and flexibility. This class is fun and interactive and varies your workouts to keep you motivated.

SMALL GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING—6 WEEKS

Small group training (2-4 people) is designed for you to work closely with a personal trainer, receive individual attention, and address your specific needs and goals. Each session incorporates specific instruction and guidance through well-rounded workouts. The program also provides tools and strategies to help you stay on track with your goals outside of the fitness studio, including nutrition, stress reduction techniques, and at-home, targeted exercises.

ADULT PLAYGROUND

Join this interactive, high-energy group class that is always fun and varied. Using different class formats each week, you work your entire body and mind. The class incorporates all the components of a well-rounded workout using the playground theme with weighted and stability balls, steps, and bands. This program is creatively designed to increase coordination, strengthen, tone and energize your body, and refresh your mind!

FITNESS MEETS WELLNESS SEMINAR SERIES

Sign up for one or more of these one-hour seminars to learn how to enhance your fitness and enrich your life. Reduce stress, improve nutrition, increase body awareness, and design a fitness program for home and work. Integrate your fitness goals into your life, dispel myths about fitness and wellness, and empower yourself. Recognize and tap into your unique abilities, strengths, and talents—all within you!

8 WEEKS TO WELLNESS FOR TEENS

Teens enhance self-esteem, learn better body awareness, and build confidence in this program designed specifically for them.

The 8-week session uses a variety of equipment, including weight machines, free weights, stability balls, weighted balls, and weighted bars. Each teen receives personal attention to insure safety and proper technique while working out.

This program is supportive and helps teens recognize their unique talents and strengths.

 
6 WEEK STRETCH & TONE FOR SUMMER

Get your body in shape for summer in just six weeks with dynamic stretching and toning workouts specifically designed for those hard-to-target areas—legs, belly, glutes, and arms. This is a fun and varied workout to elongate and tone muscles without adding bulk.

 
STAY ON TRACK

This six-month program keeps busy working people on track with their fitness goals.

The program offers individuals two training sessions per month (bi-weekly) and alternating "check in" with their trainer in the studio or via e-mail to insure continuity of program. Each individual is provided with a personal at-home program for exercises and basic nutritional guidelines.

 
SENIOR FITNESS AND WELLNESS

Let me help you bring fitness to your seniors in a group class setting at your facility. Classes include instruction for better cardiovascular health and resistance training.

Special emphasis is on functional fitness for seniors, including flexibility, balance, and coordination—all beneficial for the senior population

 
CORPORATE GROUP FITNESS

Fitness Meets Wellness offers group fitness classes and educational presentations for your employees at your site. Classes are designed to enhance motivation, reduce stress, provide your employees time to refresh their creative minds, and enhance their physical well being.

Content, session times, and intensity are customized to the needs of your group.
